NFL Quaterbacks by Most Times Sacked All Time

Going into Week 5, Jay Cutler leads the league with 17 times sacked and 94 sack yards lost. His abysmal Week 4 performance got me wondering - what is the record for number of times a QB was sacked in a single game?

According to Playerfilter, three quarterbacks have endured a record 12 sacks in a single game since 1970. A QB has matched Cutler's nine sacks or more 64 times, with eleven sacks or more occurring only 12 times. Here's a list of games where a quarterback was sacked eleven times or more:

Donovan McNabb's 12 sack game in 2007 is eerily similar to Cutler's - occurring at NYG, in Week 4, with a similar outcome (Cutler's Bears lost 3-17) and similarly lamentable fantasy output.

One can't help but wonder if Cutler would be topping this list today if he hadn't suffered a concussion in the first half.
